The Motocomp MTC-3 Compression Tester compares within a few seconds the compression of the cylinders of Gasoline or Diesel engines without the effort of removing sparkplugs or injection jets.

The reliable method saves enormously time and costs compared to conventional methods, which consume - depending the make of the vehicle - 10 to 40 minutes or even more for Diesel engines.

It works on engines with 2 to 12 cylinders.

Measuring methode :

A Hall sensor measures the current consumption during the starting phase of an engine.

The measuring range of the current clamp is -500 to +500 Amperes. The resolution is 1 Ampere.

All the measured values will be showed on the graphical display or may be sent dirctly to a dot matrix printer (via built in RS232 Port). We recommend the use of the following printers :

the battery operated printer form Seiko : DPU-414
or the wall plugged printer from EPSON : LQ 300+

both of these printers may be used directly with the MTC-3 , without any supplementary software.

With the second RS232 Port, a connection with a PC is possible and may be stored and viewed on the PC.
Of course, when connected to a PC, the values may be printed out on the system printer.
